On Saturday 4 of us gals joined the CROP walk here in town. It is a 4 mile walk – and on Saturday we had SNOW. Yep, snow. For about 2 miles. And WINDY. Going north was like a salmon swimming upstream. But we did fine. Celine and myself are fast walkers, one of our group took a ride back to the start line at the 2 mile point, and the 4th one finished about 4 minutes after Celine and myself. Then in the evening we all went to a jewelry party – very nice jewelry, reasonable priced. Was fun just to sit and talk. Yesterday, Sunday, John and I went to Estes to see the mountains and the snow. We walked along the river for a while, then meandered downtown with all the tourists. Then after a quick stop at Dairy Queen for nourishment (HA) we headed down to Loveland. Today instead of painting and working on the outside of the house, some of us are going on a hike to see the spring flowers. We are leaving at 9 A.M. and hope to get back in time for our 1 P. M. class. I am sure we will – at least I hope we will. The place is about half way up into the mountains – Jean said the first little bit is quite an ascent, but after that it is pretty good. Whew. Hope I make it. Lots of huffing and puffing I think. Oh well, good for the heart.
So, what’s new with everyone? I spoke with Sandi yesterday – she is actually going to ask for directions on this site, and she will add some Jayden pictures. Good. She sent me one – I guess Dr Seuss has a Maisy and the daisy book – anyway, that is Jayden’s latest interest. So she got a daisy, plastered it on his head, and took a picture. SOOOO CUTE!!! And I am not too prejudiced.
Off to the hike –
